UPS Logistics to acquire Livingston

The UPS Logistics Group of Atlanta, a subsidiary of United Parcel Service, has announced its fifth acquisition this year. In a deal that will expand its healthcare logistics operations, the company has agreed to purchase Livingston Inc. of Oakville, Ontario, and Livingston Healthcare Services of Newark, Del.

Livingston Inc. operates 22 distribution centers in Canada. It specializes in supply chain management in the high-tech, consumer products, and healthcare sectors. Livingston Healthcare has six U.S. distribution centers and specializes in logistics for healthcare, biotechnology, and medical-device customers.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Regulatory approval is required for the transaction.
