Symbol Co-Founder Wins Dilling Award

AIM Inc., a global trade association representing manufacturers of bar-code and other automatic-identification equipment, has bestowed its Richard R. Dilling Award on Dr. Jerome Swartz, chairman of Symbol Technologies Inc. In 1975, Swartz co-founded Symbol, one of the leading makers of automatic-identification devices. He is credited with more than 150 U.S. patents.
