NAFTA Notes: Landstar Logistics of Jacksonville, Fla., and Concord, Ont.-based Clarke Sunac will jointly offer customized logistics solutions throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Landstar Logistics is a subsidiary of truckload carrier Landstar System. Clarke Sunac, a division of Clarke Inc., specializes in intermodal marketing, truck brokerage, and LTL services. Tower Group International has opened a 50,000 square-foot automated distribution center in Champlain, N.Y., to serve shippers moving goods between the Montreal area and the eastern United States. Truckload carrier CFI has opened sales offices in Chihuahua and Mexicali, Mexico, bringing the number of offices in Mexico to 12. Versacold Corp., Canada's largest public refrigerated warehousing and distribution company, has expanded its Walker Center distribution hub near Toronto by 2.6 million cubic feet of convertible freezer/cooler space.
