From May 1998 to May 1999, the average price of trucks, truck tractors, and truck chassis rose 3.0%. The price of trucks weighing under 10,000 pounds rose the least, up 2.9%. The price of trucks that weigh 19,501 pounds or more rose faster, up 3.6%.
