Lightweight Printer Handles Different Media

The "Encore 3" from Comtec Information Systems is a three-inch direct thermal portable label, tag, and receipt printer. It is designed for on-site, on-demand printing of bar codes, text, and graphics.

The unit weighs only 2 pounds and prints at speeds of up to 3 IPS (76.2 mm per second). It features a high-performance processor, battery, and print mechanism to provide increased throughput.

The printer includes flash memory for downloadable programs, label formats, scalable fonts, and graphics. It supports major bar-code symbologies, including two-dimensional PDF417 and MaxiCode.
