Two important events will be held next month for shippers doing business with Canada. The Can/Am Border Trade Alliance Fall Conference, scheduled for Sept. 12-14 in Washington, D.C., will focus on trade and transportation between the United States and Canada. Conference speakers, including U.S. Customs Commissioner Raymond Kelly and Canadian Ambassador Raymond Chretien, will address such topics as U.S. Customs' strategic plans for the northern border, changes in immigration policies, and trucking's role in U.S.-Canada trade. A second conference, the ICC Compliance Center's "Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations: A Changing World," is scheduled for Sept. 13-15 in Barrie, Ontario.
