Rytec's "Spiral" Door Improves Traffic Flow

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 8/1/1999

Rytec Corp. has introduced its "Spiral" high-speed security door for industrial and commercial applications. Ideal for exterior doorways with moderate to heavy traffic, the door opens at five feet per second, improving traffic flow and efficiency.

With no metal-to-metal contact during operation, the door offers quiet operation. The curtain's rigid slats travel on a loop track rather than rotating onto one another in the head assembly. Unlike conventional overhead designs, the slats remain separated, reducing wear and tear and eliminating noise.

The Spiral door's low-profile side frames allow generous clearance for equipment or vehicles maneuvering on either side of the door opening.
