Self-Directed Program Improves Dispatcher Skills

J.J. Keller & Associates has introduced The Effective Dispatcher Series, a line of self-directed learning programs that help dispatchers develop skills that can affect driver retention, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

The series consists of topic-specific training in driver management and load management. Each program includes a 30-minute video and 100-page study guide. The videos feature experienced dispatchers sharing advice on managing drivers, workload, and emergency situations. The study guides include case studies, how-to explanations, and problem-solving exercises. Both work together to help dispatchers understand drivers' concerns and motivations. They also highlight the importance of good driver-dispatcher communications and how that can promote driver morale and satisfaction.
