Research In Motion Unveils New Pager

Research In Motion Ltd. has released its new "RIM Inter@ctive Pager 950'' for the BellSouth Interactive Paging service in the United States. The Pager 950 allows users to send and receive full-length, alphanumeric messages with guaranteed delivery. Users can create e-mail, faxes, alphanumeric pages, and text-to-voice messages using the device.

The new pager features a wide range of improvements over its predecessors, including extended battery life, increased memory, improved LCD display, an easier-to-use keyboard, an address book with a capacity of 1,000 items, and a menu-driven interface. It comes with a 32-bit Intel 386 processor.

The suggested retail price for the pager is $359; service plans for BellSouth Interactive Paging Service begin at $24.95 per month.
