IBC Container Built for Hazardous and Nonhazardous Liquids

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 9/1/1999

SpaceKraft UltraCUBE, a new intermediate bulk container (IBC) from MacMillan Bloedel Bulk Packaging, has an inner coextruded polyethylene bottle engineered to meet the demanding needs of Group II and III hazardous liquid packagers, as well as packagers of nonhazardous liquids.

This IBC features a seven-wall seamless corrugated sleeve providing 17 tons of compression strength. Due to its seven-wall thickness and elimination of the manufacturer's joint--the weakest part of a box--the SpaceKraft UltraCUBE maintains its integrity under high-humidity conditions.

The SpaceKraft UltraCUBE measures 45 inches by 45 inches by 45 inches for effective side-by-side loading in trucks and ISO containers. These IBCs can stack up to three high and have a capacity equal to 282 gallons (1,069 liters).
