Fixed-Mount Laser Scanner Proves Fast, Adaptable

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 10/1/1998

Opticon Inc. has introduced the DFM-1000, a fixed-mount laser scanner that scans and decodes at the rate of 1,000 scans per second.

In addition to providing non-contact laser-scanning performance over a large depth of field, the DFM-1000 comes with several I/O lines that can be configured easily to integrate the scanner into almost any industrial application. These include conveyor-based applications such as sortation systems, work-in-progress tracking, and production control.

The DFM-1000 metal housing can be mounted easily in any industrial environment and can be triggered internally or externally.
