Monorail System Saves Floor Space

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 10/1/1998

ESKAY Corp. now offers the Space Carrier (SPC) electrified monorail system for automated material replenishment. The monorail, which operates from overhead tracks in a loop or shuttle configuration, conserves floor space in manufacturing and distribution operations.

The SPC is available in two models that handle loads of up to 66 pounds and 110 pounds, respectively. Both models travel at speeds of up to 574 feet per minute. In addition, the SPC is available with conveyor, cage, or clamp attachments to handle a variety of load types.

Each SPC features on-board microprocessor control, with no complex programming functions required. The modular monorail track can be modified or expanded and Space Carriers can be added to the system as needed to increase capacity.
