Inflation hasn't bothered buyers of trucking equipment much lately, but that could all change next year. Prices for raw materials used in equipment components are forecast to rise, reversing two-plus years of deflation. Commodity markets such as petroleum, aluminum, and copper will drive inflation. But while inflation is once again in the forecast, a repeat of 1995's big price surge is unlikely.
