Consolidated Freightways (CF) has ordered 561 new trucks for delivery before the end of 1998. CF is adding Freightliner Corp.'s Century Class #10 and #20 series tractors to its longhaul fleet. Medium-duty, medium/heavy tractors, and straight trucks are being placed in city and shorter-haul service. In addition, CF will receive 20 Mack trucks, which will be tested in its linehaul and city operations.
