Folding Steel Containers Aid Parts Storage

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 10/1/1999

Reusable corrugated folding steel bulk containers from awp industries inc. are ideal for parts storage. They are designed for storing, handling, and shipping metal parts, stampings, automotive components, bearings, household-appliance components, and other parts weighing up to 4,000 pounds.

The containers are built with four-way forklift entry for easier transport and fold to about 14.5 inches when collapsed for storage or return shipment. Customized sizes are available.

For easy product loading and unloading, a hinged, one-half drop-access door on both long sides is standard. The containers' lock design prevents accidental opening of the doors during loading or while shipping via truck or rail.

Built with heavy corrugated 14-gauge steel, the containers are virtually maintenance-free. Corners are constructed with 3-inch by 3-inch structural steel angles. Container options include casters, identification tags, labels, cardholders, and special paint colors.
