"Box Edge Plus" Shelving Designed for Strength, Flexibility
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 11/1/1999
Borroughs Corp.'s Box Edge Plus shelving units are designed for strength, durability, and flexibility--characteristics provided by the units' four components: the beaded post, the angle post, the Borroughs Box Edge Plus shelf, and the shelf bracket. With its design and construction, the beaded post provides the units with enough strength for use in multitier and high-rise systems. The angle post, ideally suited for free-standing shelving units, offers additional strength, rigidity, and flexibility. The front and rear edges of the Borroughs Box Edge Plus shelf are formed into a closed, welded box shape, and the corners are lapped and welded to give maximum strength and rigidity. The final component, the shelf bracket, provides wide load-bearing surfaces, allowing quick and easy installation without the use of tools, nuts, or bolts. With the bracket, shelves can be rearranged without disturbing adjoining units.
Box Edge Plus shelving is available in 17 standard heights and four standard widths. The steel shelving also comes in seven standard depths from 12 to 36 inches.
