Fuel

By Daryl Delano -- Logistics Management, 12/1/1998

Diesel fuel prices fell 3.0% during October, after recording a sharp 9.6% rise the month before. Diesel prices averaged 27.4% less this October than in October 1997. Both gasoline and jet fuel prices are down about 25.0% over the year. There are encouraging signs that any further fuel price increases will be slight during the next few months; crude petroleum prices eased 2.2% during October, after rising sharply during the previous few months.
