Good works recognized

Good works recognized: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has chosen Averitt Express, a less-than-truckload carrier, as its Employee Giving Company of the Year. Since 1990, Averitt employees have contributed $520,000. Last year, St. Jude named its leukemia and lymphoma clinic for the carrier's associates. The hospital is a research center dedicated to seeking cures for catastrophic diseases of childhood.
