A new supply chain conference and trade show opens next month, and it's available to any logistics manager who has Internet access. The SupplyChainLinkExpo, which will premier Oct. 17–18, will be produced by Logistics Management & Distribution Report and other publications in the Cahners Business Information Supply Chain/OEM group.
The entire event will be online and available at no charge. Visit www.SupplyChainLinkExpo.com, or connect through this magazine's Web site, www.logisticsmgmt.com, to register and view the complete lineup of events for both days.
The expo will feature speakers from some of the nation's leading companies, including 3M, USCO Logistics, Drugstore.com, American Airlines, Chrysler Corp., and Tompkins Associates. Thomas Stallkamp, CEO of MSX International and former president of Chrysler Corp., W. James McNerney Jr., CEO of 3M Corp., and Yossi Sheffi, director of transportation studies at MIT, will deliver keynote addresses.
Educational seminars will include a presentation by the researchers who were involved in the "Giants of Shipping" survey for Logistics Management, who will discuss their findings in a roundtable discussion.
In addition, five pavilions, reflecting the major components of the supply chain—design, plan, source, make, and move—will feature multimedia exhibits and sources of information on a variety of products and services, including an online trade show.
