In an effort to expand its iTRAM division, the Hoover Group Inc. has appointed Craig Brown as Hoover Group's vice president and chief information officer. In his new role, Brown holds the dual responsibility of VP and CIO for both Hoover Materials Handling Group and iTRAM, an Internet-based application service provider that uses bar-code and radio-frequency systems to track products and returnable packaging through the distribution chain.

Henningsen Cold Storage Co. has named Paul G. Henningsen Jr. director of corporate development and engineering. He joined the company in 1987 as assistant manager of corporate engineering.

Pilot Air Freight has promoted Kim Gajewski and Abe Achackzad to division directors. Gajewski, district manager of the company's Hartford, Conn., station, will now oversee both the Hartford and the Buffalo, N.Y., stations. Achackzad, district manager for the Los Angeles station, will oversee operations at the Los Angeles and Ontario, Calif., facilities.
