Transport International Pool (TIP) has introduced TIP Mobile Maintenance Services, an outsourcing program that provides maintenance service for fleet-owned or -leased trailers. Under the program, TIP now can repair trailer equipment at customer sites via fully equipped service trucks staffed by mechanics.
New England Motor Freight (NEMF) has announced a morning delivery enhancement to its express guaranteed service, NEMF Today. Known as NEMF Today A.M. Guarantee, the new program delivers freight before noon on the standard service day between most points served by the company in the Northeast (i.e., for two-day service, freight will be delivered before noon on the second day).
CNF subsidiary Emery Expedite! says it is the first urgent transportation service provider to offer a money-back guarantee for all of its services, including charter, air, and surface shipments. The company offers this guaranteed service to customers as part of its basic pricing and service offering.
Union Pacific Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railway Co. have launched an intermodal container service between Los Angeles and Atlanta, with a guaranteed on-time delivery option. The new service, named Blue Streak, will offer customers a choice of three service levels: Standard, Premium, and guaranteed SuperFlyer.

The company provides highly customized services such as pool distribution, critical parts banking, and expedited delivery for smaller customers.
In a bid to improve service and minimize lost, separated, or damaged shipments, Ward Trucking, a mid-Atlantic regional LTL carrier, has added Stack Trailers to its fleet. Stack Trailers are specially designed units with an adjustable decking system to accommodate palletized shipments of various heights.
Schneider National Inc., a large truckload and intermodal service provider, has launched TruckRail Express, an intermodal service designed to combine truck-level transit—between 500 and 600 miles per day—with intermodal-level savings.
