Glovia International, the business-to-business e-commerce subsidiary of Fujitsu, has named Dennis Michalis acting chief executive officer and president. This move follows the resignation of Matt O'Malley as Glovia's chief executive officer and president.
The board of directors for CSX Corp. has elected Michael J. Ward president of the corporation. Under the new arrangement, CSX Transportation Inc. (CSXT), the corporation's major business unit, will continue to report to Ward. CSX Intermodal and CSX Technology will report to him as well.
Richard V. Palazzo, president and chief executive officer of less-than-truckload carrier Con-Way Central Express (CCX), has announced his retirement. David S. McClimon, Con-Way Western Express (CWX) president and chief executive officer, has been appointed Palazzo's replacement. He, in turn, has been replaced by John G. Labrie, former vice president, operations for CWX. At the same time, Con-Way Transportation Services Inc. announced the promotion of Douglas W. Stotlar to chief operating officer (COO). Stotlar will add that title to his existing title of executive vice president.
Matson Navigation Co. has announced the following changes in senior management: W. Allen Doane has been appointed chairman of Matson's board; C. Bradley Mulholland is the new vice chairman of the board; James S. Andrasick is the interim president and chief executive officer; and Paul E. Stevens has been promoted to executive vice president.
