Regan named Delta Nu Alpha Person of the Year

Michael Regan has been named Transportation Person of the Year for 2002–2003 by Delta Nu Alpha (DNA), the national transportation fraternity. Regan is best known as founder of Tranzact Systems Inc., which began as a freight auditing and payment company and grew into one of the largest providers of transportation information in the country.
In addition to his work at Tranzact, Regan has also served in various capacities in the Council of Logistics Management, the National Industrial Transportation League, the American Society of Transportation and Logistics, NASSTRAC, and the Institute for Supply Management. In 1995, he was inducted into the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame and has been a finalist in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year contest. He is a certified public accountant and has a degree from the University of Illinois. Before he launched Tranzact, he worked for Bank of America, Price Waterhouse and the Union Pacific Corp.
He is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars put on by logistics industry and other professional organizations. Regan also has volunteered with numerous charitable and religious organizations in the Chicago area.
