A remodeled power-lift stacker from Multiton MIC Corp. handles light-duty applications that require power lift rather than power drive. The model SM 15/20 walk-behind stacker comes with either a single mast for 62-inch lift or a telescopic mast that reaches up to 130 inches.
The stacker's standard features include: hydraulic lifting/lowering using a high-pressure pump with a 1.5 kW motor; a built-in 10-amp automatic battery charger; a floor locking foot brake, and adjustable straddle legs and forks.
Stacker loads are supported by the rear-mounted casters and two 4-inch diameter, 1-3/4 inch-wide load wheels mounted at the end of the straddle legs. Kit upgrades printers for "smart" labels
Sato America Inc. has released an RFID upgrade kit for its CL408e (2) and CL412e (2) printers, which will enable them to produce so-called "smart" labels. Smart labels emit signals that allow bar code readers to decode data even if the label is not within the bar code reader's vision. They often are used for tracking assets in distribution.
The SATO RFID Kit enables those two printer models to generate a label while simultaneously programming the high-frequency chip inside a label. The kit consists of an interface card and a transmitter module and currently works with chips manufactured by Texas Instruments (TagIt) and Phillips (I-Code) that operate at a high frequency (in the 13.56 MhZ range).
