For the Record

Staff -- Logistics Management, 3/1/2003

The News Analysis item titled "European Commission reviews stand against CSI" in the February 2003 issue of Logistics Management should have made clear that European Union policymakers understand in principle the United States' decision to develop the Container Security Initiative (CSI) in response to concerns about terrorism, but the union is concerned that CSI is a unilateral approach that could cause competitive distortions among ports in Europe. Also, the correct spelling of the EU spokesperson's name is Maeve O'Beirne.

In the article titled "Regional LTLs stake out new turf" in the February 2003 issue of Logistics Management, it was incorrectly reported that Averitt Express has been in business for 17 years. The statement should have read that Averitt Express has been in business for 31 years, and has been a "Quest for Quality" award winner for a total of 17 years.
