Shrink tunnel eliminates packaging problems

The "soft convection" shrink tunnel from Lantech prevents common shrink-wrapping problems such as dog-ears, bubbles, and burnouts by ensuring uniform heat distribution. A stainless-steel wire belt provides improved air flow while eliminating grid marks on packages. The energy-efficient system is compatible with most commercial shrink films, including LDPE, polyolefin, polypropylene, and PVC. In addition, the unit was designed with the flexibility to work with automatic L-bar, lap-seal, and side-seal wrappers. It requires little floor space; operates on standard 230V, 47-amp service; and requires no air connection. Lantech www.lantech.com (800) 866-0322

Dynamic storage system for slip sheets

The UniversALL Flo slip-sheet storage system combines a speed-controlled, wide-roller flow bed with a unique exit zone that activates a lowering mechanism. This allows easy access for platens or forks under plastic or corrugated slip sheets. Dynamic rollers support the load in the exit position throughout the extraction process; tracks then return to position, advancing successive loads to the stop position. The system, which is capable of handling loads weighing up to 2,500 pounds, is suitable for first-in, first-out (FIFO) storage of like stock-keeping units (SKUs).
