FedEx Freight East recently received the Excellence in Claims award from the American Trucking Associations' Safety and Loss Prevention Management Council for its professionalism in claims administration, claims-prevention programs, and promotion of security processes.
Maersk Logistics captured the prestigious "Vice President's Award" at Target Corporation's 2003 Carrier Conference. The logistics services provider also was named "Consolidator of the Year" for the fourth year in a row.
For the second consecutive year, Cardinal Logistics Management has received Lowe's "Gold Partner" award. Presented at Lowe's Annual Carrier Conference, the award honors carriers for service quality, timely and accurate invoicing, and problem solving. Cardinal boasted a 99.8-percent on-time rate in 2002.
Con-Way Transportation Services Inc. has announced that all seven of its operating units in North America have received ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. The certification applies to more than 400 facilities with 17,000 total employees in the United States and Canada.
Menlo Worldwide Forwarding (formerly Emery Forwarding) has been named Trench Ltd.'s top service provider. The honor was awarded for Menlo's competitive rates, customer-service quality, on-time performance record, and attention to detail. Trench Ltd., a manufacturer of specialized electrical products for utility and industrial applications, and the freight forwarder have been working together since 1999.
