Exel and USCO Logistics have received Meritorious Performance awards from Sun Microsystems Inc. The honor recognizes suppliers that make significant contributions impacting Sun's customer-satisfaction levels. Exel provides Sun with a variety of logistics services; USCO operates a call center that fields 1,200 calls per day for delivery of critical spare parts.
Prime Inc.
has been named Carrier of the Year by Gorton's. Criteria for the award include on-time pickup and delivery, claims, equipment compliance, and other service-related categories. Prime also won in 2000 and 2002.
USF Holland
has been named a Choice Carrier partner by the nine companies in Illinois Tool Works Inc.'s Construction Products Group Logistics Council. ITW rates carriers on on-time service, billing accuracy, claims-free shipments, reports, and overall responsiveness.
Ozburn-Hessey Logistics was recognized by SYSCO for providing an order fill rate of better than 99.9 percent over the past three years. OHL consolidates thousands of stock-keeping units for the food-service distributor.
PBB Global Logistics has been recognized with the Supply Chain & Logistics Canada Innovation Award. The award was given for PBB's supply chain management innovations, promotion of industry partnerships, and advancement of the supply chain and logistics profession.
