For the fourth consecutive year, Canadian Pacific Railway has earned a Chrysler Group Gold Award for transportation excellence. The Gold Award recognizes exemplary service in day-to-day delivery of parts and finished vehicles. CPR provides transportation for the group within Canada and from Canada to the United States via Chicago and Albany, N.Y.
Exel has also been honored with a Chrysler Group Gold Award. The contract logistics firm currently operates nine of Chrysler's Mopar dedicated-delivery service centers and seven regional integrated-logistics centers in the United States and Mexico.
Brian Maher, chairman and CEO of Maher Terminals Inc., recently received the Leamon McCoy Memorial Award from the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers, based in Port Newark, N.J. Mr. Maher was recognized for his contributions towards the betterment of the intermodal industry.
USF Holland Inc. has been named Supplier of the Year by Mark IV Automotive. The company was one of only two carriers recognized for 100-percent supplier performance. The award was given in recognition of the company's efforts at Mark IV's Easley, S.C. facility.
Linda Morgan, formerly chair of the federal Surface Transportation Board and now a partner at the law firm Covington & Burling, has been named "Person of the Year" by the Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain Management Society and the Supply Chain Club of the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Morgan was cited for her key role in developing and implementing transportation policies that support the logistics, transportation, and supply chain management industries.
