Ink-jet printer delivers high-resolution coding
Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/2005
The Marsh 8000 large-character ink-jet printer can print 150 x 300 dpi. It generates large characters and bar codes for coding on shipping containers and corrugated cartons.
The system is capable of line speeds of up to 200 feet per minute (61 meters per minute). It provides a color touch-screen, graphical user interface, and language/character setting, eliminating the need for software reconfigurations. The controller is housed in a stainless steel enclosure. To enable communication with corporate networks and other devices, the Marsh 8000 offers Ethernet and RS-232 connections.
