Weigh, price, and label with one unit

Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/2005

The redesigned WPL-1500x high-speed weigh/price/label system is a continuous-motion machine designed for food packaging. It utilizes a precision digital load cell to accommodate a variety of products. Importantly for food processors, the unit stores data for every package and creates reports, facilitating recalls and quality control. The system offers a variety of printing options, including bottom label applicators. The WPL-1500x's side guide system maintains precise and consistent control of product as it moves through the weigh and labeling stations. The unit has a standard 15-pound weighing capacity and an optional 35-pound capacity. It can print up to 16 inches per second and 150 packages per minute. At the weigh station, data is captured and managed using a PC with Pentium technology, as well as wired and wireless Ethernet. Meanwhile, a 15-inch color touch screen with intuitive user interface allows operators to monitor performance in real time.
