Save battery power

Staff -- Logistics Management, 4/1/2005

The SURE-START Battery Saver shuts off a vehicle's battery power before damaging discharge levels occur when the engine is turned off and an auxiliary device, such as a dome light or parking light, is left on. A unique design allowing for two turn-off thresholds that accommodate both heavy and light electrical loads protects batteries against both quick- and slow-draining accessories. Factory program values are 11.7 volts for threshold one and 12.1 volts for threshold two. Threshold, automatic reset, run sensor, threshold timer, shut-down delay, and reset voltage values can be programmed to meet customers' specific needs. A simple design utilizes existing battery cables, eliminating the need for cutting or splicing wires.
