A new project cargo service offers shippers scheduled service from the U.S. Gulf to the West Coast of South America. BBC Andino Express Line will primarily serve the mining, energy, and construction industries with sailings every three weeks from Houston to Ecuador, Peru, and Chile. Cavalier Logistics has opened a specialized cold-storage facility at Washington's Dulles International Airport. The facility will serve pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and government shippers that need time-sensitive, secure, and temperature-controlled handling of regulated products. (www.cavlog.com)

Direct Container Line (DCL) has created a new department that is devoted to enforcing compliance with domestic and international hazmat transportation regulations. The group will improve compliance by centralizing control of all hazmat shipments. (www.dclusa.com)
