Trailer stand prevents tip-overs

Staff -- Logistics Management, 9/1/2005

The TS-2000 trailer stand from Rite-Hite is designed to prevent trailers from tipping over and landing gear from collapsing. The stand fits under the nose of "spotted" trailers to help support and prevent loading dock accidents.

The stand's 5.5-inch tubular steel structure can support a 100,000-lb. static load, providing adequate support when faulty, damaged, or rusted landing gear fails.

The stand also features a 6- by 30-inch top plate, which fits directly under the edge of a trailer's nose, as well as dual positioning handles and solid rubber tires to increase maneuverability. The base pad, which works with all types of trailers, comes with four drain holes to help prevent water collection and ice build-up.

The TS-2000 is painted "safety yellow" and meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
