Multi-line scanner enhances flexibility

The LS4208 bar-code scanner from Symbol Technologies is designed with a multi-line scan pattern to help customers quickly and accurately scan one-dimensional bar codes, including those that are damaged, small, or poorly printed. With its 19-inch scanning range and improved motion tolerances, the scanner provides users with greater flexibility.

According to the manufacturer, the LS4208 reduces the total cost of ownership by enabling remote, network-based device management, which reduces IT expenses. The scanner also is ideal for companies that need customization in large, multi-scanner environments.

Symbol also introduced its Advanced Exchange Support program, a multi-year, comprehensive coverage and support service that includes replacement of damaged plastics, exit windows, and triggers that may occur during "extreme" use.
