Stockpicker boosts operator stability

Model: SP 3400 Series

These stockpickers promise smooth acceleration, plugging, braking, and travel speeds of up to 7.5 miles per hour. The frame and mast are designed for extra stability at all heights, says the manufacturer. The trucks also feature an "intelligent" braking system that combines motor braking with three levels of friction braking to ensure smooth stops at all heights. An anti-fatigue floor mat enhances the operator's stability and improves comfort.

The series comprises four different models, with a range of battery capacities and lift heights.

Upgrades improve reliability, cut costs

Model: Fortis H40-70FT

Sit-down, counterbalanced, pneumatic-tire lift trucks lower the cost of operation while exceeding standards for dependability, productivity, and ergonomics, says the manufacturer.

With capacities ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 pounds, the trucks reduce operating costs by matching the right engine with the proper transmission for specific applications. Multi-tiered engine-transmission configurations create powertrains that offer greater fuel efficiency and high levels of productivity, the company says.

The series features a redesigned hydraulic system and upgraded electrical systems. It is also equipped with a lower step height to allow easier access and increase the operator's floor space. Other advances include a smaller steering wheel with standard steer knob and an improved seat design for driving comfortably in reverse.

Compact truck allows one-handed operation

Model: EKS 314

AC technology extends this truck's performance with low energy consumption, and further cuts energy costs with a regenerative lowering and braking design.

The truck handles loads weighing up to 3,000 pounds and reaches travel speeds of up to 6 mph. Ergonomically positioned motion controls allow all functions to be accomplished with one hand, while a cushioned stand-on platform further enhances comfort.

The compact truck is 42 inches wide and 118 inches long, and boasts a maximum turning radius of 66 inches. It is available with either a two- or three-stage mast, and features an electrically controlled pallet clamp that holds the pallet in place on the forks.

Three-wheel truck maximizes battery life

Model: RX 50-16

A three-wheel, rear-drive electric lift truck offers excellent maneuverability and flexibility in high-density warehousing and indoor/outdoor applications. The truck's variable wheelbase operation optimizes traction, travel comfort, and maneuverability over a range of operational scenarios.

A 24-volt enclosed, three-phase, rear-drive motor acts directly on the steered wheel in order to conserve energy and increase productivity. The hydraulic valve system and digital control system also act to conserve the battery charge.

Electrical regenerative braking feeds up to 15 percent of the motor's driving energy back to the battery when the accelerator pedal is released, further lengthening operating cycles and reducing the wear rate of the brake linings, according to the manufacturer. The brushless drive motor is maintenance-free.

For operators' safety and driving convenience, the manufacturer has mounted the drive controller within the vehicle's counterweight. This type of design dissipates the engine's heat without the use of additional fans. At the same time, the design decreases the truck's noise level, thus improving the general operating environment.
