Single-use recorder monitors in transit
Staff -- Logistics Management, 8/1/2005
The MadgeTech Transitemp-EC in-transit temperature recorder is a low-cost, single-use device that lets users monitor temperature fluctuations for up to 90 days during the shipment or storage of goods. A green light-emitting diode (LED) signals that the shipment is within preset temperature limits, and a red LED signals an alarm condition, providing receivers with the immediate status of a shipment.
The temperature recorder can log up to 8,191 measurements in a non-volatile memory and connect to a computer to display the history of a shipment, allowing receivers to determine the exact time any problems occurred. A push-button start is date- and time- stamped and can be preset for any user-specified range.
