Trailer tracking system for refrigerated trailers

GE's VeriWise Asset Intelligence trailer tracking system is now available for use with refrigerated trailers. The system originally was designed for use with standard, dry-freight equipment.

The trailer tracking system helps shippers improve cargo security as well as enhance operational flexibility by providing them with real-time information.

VeriWise includes a geo-fencing feature, which allows users unlimited placement of virtual geographic boundaries around specific addresses.

When a VeriWise-equipped trailer passes through an assigned boundary, it generates a data report either by e-mail or telephones with text-messaging capability.
