Flighted lift keeps production moving
Staff -- Logistics Management, 8/1/2005
The Flighted Lift is an indexing lift designed for either vertical storage or for buffering product. It is ideal for situations where production surges or peak production periods cause backups. By incorporating a Flighted Lift into the conveyor configuration, users can buffer or accumulate product until downstream operations have caught up.
Product is conveyed into the system as needed and is indexed and lifted with the flighted lifting mechanism, then discharged with the use of a pusher. Loading can be accomplished from any level by using a pusher. Each system is custom designed, so weight capacities, dimensions, and number of storage locations are variable.
