By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/2001
If you want to find out which logistics strategies work best in Latin America - and hear it straight from the front-line managers themselves - head to Miami April 4 and 5 for the Latin Logicon conference. The semiannual conference, organized by Worldwide Business Research, features more than two dozen speakers who will outline their companies' strategies for achieving logistics excellence in Mexico, Central America, and South America. Speakers include top logistics managers from the Latin American divisions of IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Kodak, Pepsi Cola, Lucent Technologies, Unisys, Volkswagen, Nike, and more.
Preceding the conference is a full-day program devoted to optimizing logistics operations in Mexico. Immediately after the conference, participants may elect to tour the Port of Miami and Miami International Airport and hear a presentation by Robert McNamara, acting assistant commissioner, field operations, for U.S. Customs.
