New crossbar deadbolt protects cargo

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 9/1/2006

SGM Enterprises announced its newly patented Crossbar, part of the Ranger Deadbolt family of no-shackle locks for trailers, containers, and warehouse doors. Fully portable and installable in seconds, the Crossbar houses most brands of no-shackle, hockey-puck locks. This feature eliminates exposed, cuttable shackles.

The Crossbar’s patented design protects the handle hub’s bolt and prohibits opening of the locking rod. The sloped roof and lock cavity’s walls minimize physical damage. The door’s handle and latch holes remain available for optional seals.

SGM Enterprises also produces the Lock Guard family of guards to protect padlocks from tampering.
