MHIA announces winners of 2006 research paper awards
First place paper examines throughput in carousels and vertical lift modules.

Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) and the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) recently announced the winners of the biennial Outstanding Material Handling Research Paper Award. A committee of academics and professionals associated with MHIA judged entries based on several factors, including potential impact on materials handling practice and innovative use of research methods.

MHIA encourages nominations for the 2008 awards. The organization will make a call for nominations in early 2008 for consideration of papers published in scientific journals, proceedings of scientific events and as chapters of edited books between January 2006 and December 2007.
