Software uses real-time data to calculate fuel tax

Telargo, Inc. has introduced fully integrated ProMiles Fuel Tax Software in its mobile-asset management solution. The integration allows customers access to real-time data for a single truck, a group of trucks, or an entire fleet’s intrastate or interstate mileage, along with automated reports for compliance with state and federal tax regulations.
The ProMiles solution takes location and odometer readings from the on-board system and processes the data in the Fuel Tax Software. Administrators can log in to the online Control Center and view reports of each vehicle and the miles driven in each state, as well as automatic calculations of fuel tax owed for each state. Reports can be viewed on screen, printed, or downloaded in Microsoft Excel or HTML formats.
