2007 Global Supply Chain Conference

The fifth annual event showcases an impressive lineup of professionals who discuss the fine points of developing an efficient supply chain in a changing business environment.

By Bridget McCrea -- Logistics Management, 12/1/2007

This year’s Global Supply Chain Conference pulled together an impressive lineup of keynote and workshop speakers in one convenient place—online—for this fifth annual event. The lineup includes analysts, vendors, and shippers who inform and educate supply chain and logistics professionals on the fine point of creating and running an efficient supply of goods from raw materials to end user.

Sponsored by Epicor and presented in a Webcast format, the event covered seven key areas, all of which centered on strategies for creating streamlined supply chains in a changing business environment.

Kevin O’Marah of AMR Research kicked off the event by discussing the key characteristics of world-class supply chain professionals as well as the fine points of product lifecycle management (PLM). Other speakers include Steve Cochran and Mukund Mohan of Inovis, who focus on the five key steps to building better supply chain visibility; Christopher Gopal of Deloitte Consulting who gives attendees an inside track on how to create shareholder value through operations excellence; and PRTM Management Consultants’ Shoshanah Cohen, who along with Mark Newberry of Elizabeth Arden, cover the five core disciplines of strategic supply chain management.

Available on demand at scmr.com/gscc, this year’s GSCC brought together a group of seasoned experts who collectively covered just about every corner of the supply chain, from best practices to global reach to risk management, and everything in between.
