For the second year in a row, Forbes Magazine has recognized a transportation and information services company, Landstar System Inc., as one of the nation's best big companies. Landstar was listed among the top 17 in the Travel and Transport category of Forbes' Platinum 400 List of America's Best Big Companies.
The Gilbert Cos., a provider of integrated transportation, distribution, and logistics services, has announced that its Gilbert East, Gilbert Express, and Gilbert West divisions have each been awarded Restoration Hardware's Certificate of Appreciation for 2000.
Technology research firm Open System Advisors Inc. recently awarded Capstan its Crossroads 2001 A-List Award. Capstan's export management application took top honors in the Crossroads A-List category of Operations and Fulfillment: Export Management e-Services for International Business.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council has honored GeoLogistics Ltd. with an award for export marketing. GeoLogistics Hong Kong, part of a global network of 1,000 offices in 140 countries, was presented with the award.
Symbol Technologies Inc. has been awarded the Microsoft Embedded Developer of the Year award at Microsoft's Windows Embedded Partner Summit in Las Vegas.
CNF, a $6 billion global supply chain services company, has been rated as America's most admired trucking enterprise in an independent survey by Fortune Magazine. CNF was ranked number one for the third year in a row.
Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse recently honored Southeastern Freight Lines with four awards: the 2000 Outstanding Claims Prevention Award, the 2000 Outstanding Systems Support Award, the 2000 Most Improved Carrier Award, and the 2000 Lowe's Bronze Team Award.
Southeastern was also honored by Milliken and Co. with its Distinguished Supplier Award for exceptional service and outstanding commitment to a long-term supplier partnership.
