FKI Logistex, a materials-handling systems company, has announced the formation of its Automation Division. The new division, which will provide end-to-end materials-handling systems for various supply chain applications, is composed of two of the FKI Logistex Group's companies, The Buschman Co. and Mathews Conveyor.

jobsinlogistics.com, which is approaching its one-year anniversary, is a Web site that caters specifically to logistics professionals. The site is designed for both job seekers and employers looking to fill positions in the logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight-forwarding, materials/inventory management, distribution, and warehousing fields.

The International Association of Cold Storage Contractors (IACSC) has released its 2001 Annual Services and Membership Directory. It is aimed at helping companies locate contractors and suppliers to construct plants, warehouses, and other facilities where expertise in cold storage design and construction is needed.

Interoll Corp. has announced a restructuring plan under which it will realign its worldwide organization into Strategic Business Units (SBUs). Interoll also announced a capital improvement plan, which includes new machinery for its North Carolina facility as well as a new facility for the Toronto division.

To accommodate increased traffic between Miami and the Caribbean, ocean-freight consolidator and distributor Aim Caribbean Express has moved its Miami freight receiving terminal and service center to a 50,000-square-foot facility in Medley, Fla.

Industrial Data & Information Inc. has released the fourth edition of its Warehouse & Logistics Software Directory. The directory, which has added multiple European, Australian, North American, and South American supply chain execution solutions, aims to provide companies with the information they need to find various types of specialized software programs.

Con-Way Business Solutions (CBS), the supply chain management and Internet technology consulting unit of Con-Way Transportation Services, has developed an Accelerated Cost Reduction program to help mid-market manufacturers and distributors reduce costs by business process improvement, activity-based costing, supply chain optimization, and lean manufacturing techniques.
