Agidens is the new name for former Egemin divisions

Agidens is the new company name of the former Egemin divisions that will continue together after the sale of the Handling Automation division to the KION Group in May.

Agidens is the new company name of the former Egemin divisions that will continue together after the sale of the Handling Automation division to the KION Group in May. Agidens will continue to provide the same services as before. With a clear focus and strategy, new resources and the support of the shareholders, the company is aiming for sustainable further growth in all divisions: Process Automation, Life Sciences, Infra Automation and Consulting & Services.

Agidens CEO Geert Stienen explains the choice of the new name: “Nomen est omen. Our name is a combination of the words Agile and Confidence. Our flexibility and expertise have earned us the trust of our customers. That is how we developed a strong company with Egemin over the past 70 years. Agidens continues to build on that strategy. We want to respond quickly to the needs of our customers and offer flexible solutions, so the added value for our customers is assured. Our employees, their skills and experience remain the same, as does our reliability.”

Agidens is mainly active in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States. Later this year, Agidens will open new offices in France and Germany. It shows the strong aspirations of the former Egemin divisions. “We indeed believe for 100% in the employees who shape this company,” says Geert Stienen. “A more targeted approach will provide the Process Automation, Life Sciences, Infra Automation and Consulting & Services divisions with new opportunities for growth. With Agidens we develop a business strategy that brings added value to all customers of the four divisions. In the coming months we will introduce our new name and visual identity to the market. You will hear from us.”

“Ackermans & van Haaren, through Sofinim (74%), has been shareholder of this company since 1999,” says Luc Bertrand, CEO of AvH and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agidens. “In this 15-year period, a well thought-out strategy and professionalism has taken this company to a leading position in various fields of automation. We believe that the divisions that together form Agidens, have everything to continue this growth and professionalization. It is the same ship with the same crew, but with a new name. The renewed focus gives Agidens a boost.” From 1 June, the activities will be legally transferred to the new Agidens companies.
