The AnyLogic Company (Booth 9513) unveiled a new version of its simulation and modeling software on Tuesday at Modex. The only software that supports agent-based, discrete event, and systems dynamics modeling on a single platform, AnyLogic 7 includes new, user-friendly features like drag-and-drop capabilities and modeling wizards.
“The newest version of our software makes complex model building even easier,” said John Yedinak, managing director for the Lisle, Ill.-based firm, “without the need for Java coding.”
After inputting a range of variables about their supply chains, distribution centers, or other work environments, users can run their models through “what-if” scenarios, share them with other users (including those who don’t have AnyLogic 7 on their computers or devices), and view the related metrics and analytics.
AnyLogic 7 also includes a process-modeling library that extends modelers’ capabilities for manufacturing simulation.
Modex 2014 is scheduled to be held March 17-20, 2014 in Atlanta’s Georgia World Conference Center. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete Modex 2014 coverage.
