Baldor Electric names food and beverage industry business manager

Baldor Electric Company recently named Matt Price its new food and beverage industry business manager.

In this role, Price and his team are responsible for gaining specification and preference at key food and beverage accounts for Baldor Reliance motors, Baldor Dodge mechanical power transmission products and ABB robots and drives. The team will also drive the development of industry strategies, relationships, corporate agreements and sales demand.

Price joined the company in 1992 and held jobs of increasing responsibility including field sales engineer, corporate purchasing category manager and plant manager. For the past four years, he worked as general manager of a cooking equipment company where he led design, manufacturing and sales efforts focused on supermarket and restaurant national chain accounts.

Price has a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Management Strategy and Marketing from Northwestern University. He will be located in Greenville, S.C.
