Chief Procurement Officers concentrate on cost containment

A majority (57%) of surveyed Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) said short-term cost reduction is a higher priority than long-term growth in 2014, according to a new survey by Consero Group, an international leader in creating high-level, invitation-only events for senior executives.

The results were reported as part of the 2014 Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Data Survey, compiled by Consero Group.

This legislation takes the same name of a previous bill rolled out in April 2014, which did not make enough traction to be signed into a law, and would replace the current authorization, MA-21, whose most recent continuing extension is set to expire at the end of May.
